This little, deceased, crab, on the pebble beach of the Sitka sound, is nearly perfectly preserved aside from a missing eye.

Slugs inhabit the Sitka forest. Our guide told us that the slug's secretions are good for skin and are used as a face cream.

Kelp that grows in the Sitka Sound is used in many ways by the Tlingit people.

After Sitka, and back on the ship, the views continue to stun. The Alaskan wilderness is truly immense.
