Julie & Peter's Canadian & Alaskan adventure took place between July 31 and August 10, 2024.

The first day and night of this time was spent in Vancouver, BC. On day two, we boarded Cunard's Queen Elizabeth. The Queen is 964 feet of art-deco sailing luxury. Her crew exceeds 900 and she carries more than 2000 passengers. From this posh floating city, we were able to visit fjords, glaciers and remote cities that can be accessed no other way. This voyage totaled more than 2000 nautical miles.

Each day was sunny and the temperature was delightfully in the 70's. The Queen's crew, and a number of Alaskans, told us that they couldn't remember more lovely, rain-free, weather. Scenery, as you'll see if you explore this post, was peerless. Drinking, dining and chilling on the Queen was entirely pleasant, and free of the crowds and tackiness that one might associate with cruises.

Long live the Queen and may Alaska remain untouched.
