Sated from the buffet, and lubricated from the bar, we explored the ship in earnest. It's a floating deco palace! |
In addition to the ninth-deck buffet, food and drink can be found at restaurants and bars that spill off this area on deck three. |
The Queen's theater holds 830 people. Here, lectures on the areas the ship explored clued us in on what we were seeing. |
Three laps around the Queen's third-deck promenade equaled one mile and brought walkers and joggers close to the sea. |
At points on the promenade, it was interesting to see ship gear like the life-boat launch equipment shown here. |
From the promenade, at the back of the ship, the wake, and the sounds of the Queen's two propellers, was impressive. |
Occassionally, a crew member woud open a door to off-limits-for-guests zones, revealing the ship's working areas.
