Sated from the buffet, and lubricated from the bar, we explored the ship in earnest. It's a floating deco palace!

In addition to the ninth-deck buffet, food and drink can be found at restaurants and bars that spill off this area on deck three.

The Queen's theater holds 830 people. Here, lectures on the areas the ship explored clued us in on what we were seeing.

Three laps around the Queen's third-deck promenade equaled one mile and brought walkers and joggers close to the sea.

At points on the promenade, it was interesting to see ship gear like the life-boat launch equipment shown here.

From the promenade, at the back of the ship, the wake, and the sounds of the Queen's two propellers, was impressive.

Occassionally, a crew member woud open a door to off-limits-for-guests zones, revealing the ship's working areas.
