Success! In the new parlor, the bed has moved from the south to the north wall, the traffic pattern is greatly improved and the new desk area is far less cluttered.

Aaron has dubbed me a light whore. Guilty as charged! I'm particularly thrilled to have retrieved artist Aaron Brand's one-of-a-kind cylinder floor lamps.

The card table is gone. In it's place is a table I lifted off the curb for free. That table is in fine shape aside from a scarred top. A cheap piece of laminate solved that problem.

Old shelves, previously used in my Lyndale office closet, now serve as desk-side storage and curio cabinets. My workspace is much larger that it was with the card-table desk.

Front and center in the curio cabinets are vintage family photos.

Shown on the top of the cabinets is another recovered treasure; a one-of-a-kind tongue drum made by my old, dear, friend David Schaldach.

On the south wall, my cabinet decorations include really spectacular vintage photos of mom and dad.

I so love quirky things, like needlepoint drag-speak (a gift from my colleague and friend Kristine). Hand grenades in a box serve as an anchor for the light's dimmer switch.

A glam frame houses a decidedly un-glam photo. This is Sikora's bait shop on the north side of Antigo. Got Leeches? I had a leech, but no longer.

Under the gorgeous parlor windows, a radiator has received a new top cover with laminate that matches the desk arrangement, and with cut asters from the garden,
