In the backyard facing east —
There it is: The new bank of kitchen windows! The maroon color is a harbinger to the house-trim paint job that will come later
.

More window porn.

Ultimatey, these windows will be energy efficient, however, that day is not today. The kitchen has yet to be insulated and the stucco patching won't
happen until spring. In the meantime, the temperature in Minneapolis is 9 below zero with predicted windchills at 40 below
.

In the kitchen facing west —
OMGG!
This is a young-person's saying; I think it stands for "oh my goodness gracious."

In the kitchen facing west and north —
Even more window porn.

In the kitchen facing west and south —
From every angle, the new window makes the kitchen seem one with the garden.
Visible on the right is another new window which will be installed over the sink.

In the kitchen facing east —
Here's a curious thing: Edgar mapped the island and the recessed lights positions on the floor. He then used a laser to
transfer the recessed and pendants light positions up to the ceiling. S

In the dining room facing north into the kitchen —
Wow, light galore!

In the living room facing west and north —
What a combo: The new kitchen windows and the new, and greatly enlarged, opening between the kitchen and dining rooms have
absolutely revolutionized our first floor.

In the dining/living room area facing east —
Edgar and Lee have set up shop. One day this room will once again be decorated with comfy furniture, filled with artwork and softly lit.
Music will pulse throughout the house and all will be good. On that day, looking back at this photo ought to be a hoot.
