The whirlwind romance is over. Spectacular as it was, it was unsustainable since Georgy's parenting commitments are not aligned with my need for more frequent contact. It is also true, I'm afraid, that my emotional outpouring was not returned in kind by Georgy. Granted, I threw myself into our relationship with unbridled fervor and I certainly can't expect anyone to move at the pace I did. Am I heartbroken? Yes. Am I grateful for all that I shared with Georgy? Absolutely. Have I learned a great deal about myself and how I'll proceed with other women in the future. Certainly. Shown in the photo above, worn around Georgy's neck, is a necklace made from a tiny baking form that I presented Georgy on our last date at Barbette, also the site of our first date.
