October 23, 2015 the POD arrives –
The garage is already filled with basement stuff and the front porch is filled with the contents of the kitchen cabinets.
The living room and dining room furniture is destined for the POD.

Here is the cleverly maneuverable POD making its way into our driveway for an extended stay.

Facing west –
This is the last gasp for the kichen as it was.
The cabinets are empty and the fridge is on its way to our temp kitchen in the music room.

Facing north and east –

Facing south and east –
The south wall has cardstock posters covering the exploratory holes I punched.
The wall also features my duct tape tribute to the '80s LA punk bands, X and Black Flag.

On the east wall –
A last glimpse of the soon-to-be trashed stove.

Facing north –
Dishwasher, sink, cabinets and countertop...all soon gone.

Lookie Here.
I'm about to get all Tool Guy on the island mockup.

You see!
I'm not messin' around.

Facing west –
The living/dining room, devoid of furniture, reveals the hideous baseboards.
The shoebox vibe will change soon enough when we smash through the wall between the dining room and kitchen.

Facing east –
The frou-frou drapes will not make the cut in the revamped living room.

The northeast foyer, pressed into duty as our kichenette.
A hot plate and toaster oven will be Val's only cooking devices for roughly four months!
Still, we think it's cool and we'll gladly make do.

Facing west –
November 3, 2015...demo begins.
No turning back now!

Facing north and west –

Facing north and east –
Cabinets gone. The dishwasher and sink torn out!

Facing east –
The barely-functioning old stove has been kicked to the curb.

Facing east –
On the south wall my exploratory holes are revealed briefly.
Soon, that whole wall will be gone.
