Like manna from heaven, Julie Rabbit dropped, miraculously, into my life. She brought to me sweetness, silliness, companionship and whiskey. Just what I needed and what I hoped for. I was immediately smitten but chose to move cautiously, waiting a full four days before professing my love. Before the end of our first year together, we strode down the aisle of matrimony. “Hey… give Pete a call”… from my friend Garrick after a random request for a “nice single guy who likes music”…. Well, that offhand comment worked out better than I ever could have hoped, and started a fabulous new chapter in my life. A wonderful, silly, loving guy with offbeat sense of humor, a perfect tidy foil to my tendency to acquire and clutter. He has taken on a “stepfather” role with the naughty rabbits who are my children, which further endears me to him forever. Met in May, engaged in August, with an amazing joyful wedding the following April Fool’s Day… with even the weather tricking us with 10” of snow. A great day, with a great man and great friends. My life is full.
