Meet the family: From the far north wall facing south, the foreground bike, named Bridget, is Val's winter beater.
Next to Bridget is Rocky, my winter beater & foul-weather commuter. Both Bridget and Rocky are fat, knobby-tired, single-speeds with coaster breaks.
Next, continuing south, is Carlos, Val's summer city bike.
And next to Carlos is Mr. Natural, my summer city bike & fair-weather commuter. Both of these bikes are skinny-tired, light, zippy, single-speeds; again with coaster breaks. We love our coasters!
Further south is the Count, Val's old faithful ride named for Count Basie. The Count has served as Val's commuter, hard working Next to the Count is Shirly, my much loved Surly Cross Check. Built up with front and back racks,
